Join Us
The Somewhere Over the Rainbow Dinner Gala is Promise Community Homes’ largest annual fundraiser – now in its 26th year! Join us at the beautiful Sheraton Westport Chalet Hotel in St Louis. The gala includes a cocktail hour, gourmet dinner, silent and live auction, award presentation, and live music. We will be honoring Matthew Thayer with the Humanitarian of the Year Award.
Your Impact
Imagine living on less than $800 per month. This is the reality for most adults with IDD who live on supplemental security benefits, pricing them out of almost every rental housing market. This is why YOU are so important. Our 86 homes provide an affordable, long-term solution to the housing crisis for more than 300 adults with IDD. Through your support, Promise Community Homes can continue to provide safe, affordable homes where adults with IDD can live their lives to the fullest.
Our Mission
Promise Community Homes, formerly Rainbow Village, enhances the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) by providing safe, affordable, and well-maintained neighborhood homes. Before PCH, no independent supported living (ISL) housing model for adults with IDD existed in St. Louis. Instead, individuals with IDD lived in institutions, often far away from loved ones, without community integration, much less a choice about where to live. Today, PCH serves and supports approximately 300 adults with IDD through accessible neighborhood homes and hosts 1,000 visitors, residents, and neighbors of all abilities at our bustling community center every year.
