Oversees the management and supervision of professionals which includes maintenance, janitorial and office staff.  Has hiring, discipline and performance appraisal responsibility. Exercises control over expenses and revenues of operations budget.  Displays initiative and resourcefulness in deviating from traditional methods, criteria, or procedures.  Uses constructive thinking based on theoretical disciplines or body of knowledge and practice to analyze, interpret, and evaluate problem situations, conflicts, or operations concerns.  Oversees the management of the maintenance and repairs of homes and buildings owned by Promise Community Homes.


  • Researching and implementing new directives for organizational growth
  • Development and implementation of emergency preparedness procedures
  • Manages partnership agreements with service providers
  • Contributes to general accounting tasks, such as accounts payable, payroll, petty cash, and budgeting
  • Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management
  • Oversees and supervises the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively
  • Manages and reviews service contracts
  • Checks completed work by vendors and contractors
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications
  • Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees
  • Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to organization’s standards
  • Oversee the management of maintenance requests, from assignment to completion
  • Respond directly and immediately to property related issues as they arise
  • Review and voucher all purchases made by maintenance personnel for final approval 
  • Coordinate site visits with sub-contractors, proposals/bidding, and scheduling of projects
  • Maintain the database of capital improvements to homes and facilities
  • Ensure the calendar of preventive maintenance visits is maintained
  • Create and maintain electronic master file of each property
  • Maintain strong relationships with provider agency business staff and direct service providers
  • Maintain database listing of property information such as support agency, location supervisor, occupants, etc.
  • Monitoring revenue margins



  • 3 years of experience in operations management, property management, general maintenance, or a related field
  • Bachelor Degree required
  • Real Estate Broker’s License preferred


Looking for a teammate to play an important role in the Development Office.

Primary duties are the research, writing, and tracking of the annual grant program. In addition, supporting fundraising activities as needed including donor and public relations, direct mail appeals, special events, and social media.


In conjunction with the director of development, develop and implement a well-coordinated individual giving program designed to cultivate and solicit support from an established portfolio of individuals and foundations.

Identify, qualify, cultivate, and steward relations with existing and prospective individual donors.

Support the execution of major gift and capital campaign strategies by crafting proposals, writing presentations, scheduling stewardship visits, managing logistics, and developing strategic communications.

Develop relationships with volunteers and ambassadors and support their efforts to raise awareness and support the organization.

Support the development team’s planning and execution of fundraising events.

Develops an annual grants strategy in partnership with Director of Development.

Responsible for researching, collecting data, and writing approved grant proposals.

Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents, while managing the proposal submission process to ensure timely submission of all required materials.

Create monthly fundraising reports and other database reports as needed (experience with DonorPerfect a plus).

Our expert Operations team is looking for a staffer to conduct general maintenance and repair work on homes, buildings, and equipment and perform related work as required.


Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of homes in assigned work zone

  • Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Service and maintain swimming pool and equipment
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)
  • Make inspections and recommendations to determine need for repairs
  • Keep time and materials records and prepare reports

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • High School diploma (Technical/Vocational)
  • Attended and completed various courses including HVAC, electrical and plumbing, drywall and painting skills.
  • Two years experience in a wide variety of building and residential maintenance
  • Ability to make repairs on various types of equipment and building facilities requiring some knowledge of a variety of trades.
  • Able to work in a cooperative manner with peers, as well as the population served by the Agency.
  • Able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Some supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds unaided
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving
