Dignity in Bloom

Dear Friends,

Spring marks the beginning of inspection season at Promise Community Homes! The Operations team will head out to over 80 houses across St. Louis, assessing each home for maintenance needs, updates, and opportunities to enhance safety and accessibility for nearly 300 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It also gives the team the chance to check in and connect with residents in their homes.

Routine inspections are a vital part of maintaining affordable, accessible housing for residents with IDD. They allow our team to identify necessary repairs, plan preventative improvements, and ensure each home continues to meet the unique needs of those who live there.

These efforts create the foundation for residents to feel safe, confident, and secure in their own homes for life—allowing for dignity and independence to take root, grow, and blossom.

Without you, this work would not be possible. Thank you making safe, accessible housing possible for every resident we serve.

Warmly,

Matt Elmore

Executive Director

Q1 Projects Update

During the first 3 months of 2026, 44 home projects have been completed for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including replacing all the windows in an entire apartment building—enhancing safety and security, improving energy efficiency, and increasing natural light to create a more comfortable and lasting living environment for 8 residents!

These impactful projects are made possible through the support of valued partners like The Home Builders Charitable Foundation and Window World of St. Louis, whose commitment helps advance safe, dignified, and independent living for those we serve.

Thank you Home Builders and Window World!
