The Promise of a Lifetime

Dear Friends,

At Promise Community Homes, our work goes beyond providing affordable housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It’s about creating homes where residents can live safely, independently, and with dignity for life.

If a pipe is leaking, the organization will fix it. If a roof is damaged, we provide repairs at no additional cost to any resident. If a resident's mobility needs change, we will make sure their home is fully equipped with proper accessibility features. In fact, as of today, nearly 90% of PCH addresses have some type of accessible bathroom!

We don't ask residents to change themselves to fit a house. We customize the house to fit the resident and support their unique needs. And we will continue to maintain, modify, and adapt homes as their needs may evolve.

Because that is our promise: to provide a true place of belonging where every resident with IDD can live, grow, and thrive for life.

With gratitude,

Matt Elmore

Executive Director

New Siding Alert

The siding of this St. Louis County home is getting a major upgrade!

After years of serving as the house's primary barrier against weather, pests, and other outdoor elements, the siding is getting a much-needed update.

New siding will provide a stronger barrier against extreme weather, increase energy efficiency, and protect the structural integrity, so 3 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities can continue living safely and comfortably in the house they call home.
