The Big, Big Promise of Home

Dear Friends,

Here at PCH, we have a lot to look forward to as we move into spring! You may remember an announcement a few months ago about significant support from the Productive Living Board (PLB). PLB's grant will propel our initiative to create additional housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by partially funding the development of a multi-unit apartment building.

Formally this expansion is a part of an initiative known as "Instilling Understanding", but around the office we affectionately call this exciting project the "Big-Big", reflecting just how significant and transformative it will be. To help guide this important work, we're proud to announce we'll be partnering with amazing St. Louis professionals. For architectural and design services we'll be collaborating with Trivers, a local firm with a rich history and passion for affordable housing. Additionally, the team at Gershman Commercial Real Estate will help us find the perfect land for this development, keeping location, budget, and proximity to public transportation and other resources front of mind! From the lives touched to the milestones met, every highlight along the way in this project will be a testament to your belief in our mission.

Please remember how invaluable you are—whether you're a volunteer giving your time, a supporter spreading the word on social media, an individual donor contributing what you can, or an organization funding a major project. Your support is the driving force behind our success.

Thank you for being an essential part of our community. We can’t wait to share more updates in the months ahead!

Warmly,
Matt Elmore
Executive Director

SHOUT OUT TO THE PCH MAINTENANCE TEAM!

This year has been a banner snowfall year for the St. Louis area with 18.2 inches of snow so far, already higher than the seasonal average by a half foot.

As a result, the PCH maintenance team has been working even harder than normal. When there are projected storms, some of the team will stay overnight at the office, starting work early in the morning. Whether it's shoveling snow, salting, bringing in space heaters, or fixing broken pipes, our maintenance techs do what they can to ensure the safety of our residents!

2025 PROJECTS UNDERWAY

Despite all the snow, PCH is still moving forward with important projects! Three houses are in the process of getting new siding, 11 houses are getting new decks and/or ramps, and nearly 300 corrective and preventative maintenance tasks have already been completed! You can stay in the know by following us on social media.
