A Moment to Say "Thank You"
Dear Friends,
The middle of summer marks one of the busiest seasons for Promise Community Homes. Across more than 80 houses, annual inspections are underway, preventative maintenance projects are in full swing, and landscaping fills daily to-do lists.
As we've reached the halfway point of the year, our team has already replaced 15 aging appliances, unexpectedly installed three new roofs, resolved more than 20 plumbing and electrical issues, completed more than 1,200 work orders, and tackled countless other repairs and improvements.
Anyone who owns a home knows that caring for it is a continual responsibility. Now imagine maintaining more than 80 of them! This ongoing work is only possible because of supporters like you.
Because summer is such a busy time for all of us, I wanted to take this moment to pause and say thank you. Your support makes these vital projects possible and allows Promise Community Homes to continue providing safe, affordable, and accessible housing where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can live with dignity, independence, and a true sense of belonging.
Thank you for investing in our mission and for helping ensure every resident has a place they are proud to call home for the rest of their lives. |
With gratitude, Matt Elmore Executive Director |

Summer Preventative Maintenance at PCH
Every year, the Maintenance Team provides seasonal upkeep to more than 80 properties. Some of these measures include: |
- Replacing HVAC filters
- Weed removal
- Cleaning exterior vents
- Trimming back landscaping
- Clearing gutters
Routine maintenance helps protect each home and prevent larger issues before they arise. Every detail ensures nearly 300 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities live in homes that are safe, affordable, and well-maintained year-round. |

PCH Closes on Land for New Development! |
Promise Community Homes has officially closed on the property where we'll build our brand-new multi-unit apartment building, expanding access to specialized, lifelong housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across St. Louis County.
This exciting milestone wouldn't be possible without the incredible support of Productive Living Board, Trivers, Gershmann Commercial Real Estate, Terracon, Grimes Consulting, and DG2 Design. Now, the next chapter begins! Trivers, our architectural and design partner for this project, will continue refining the building and site designs, creating a space that fosters accessibility, independence, dignity, and a true sense of home. |

Thank You St. Louis Office for Developmental Disability Resources (DDR)! |
The PCH team recently found some moisture buildup inside the walls of a historic Promise house in St. Louis City. While the property remained safe and habitable, the issue needed to be addressed quickly to prevent long-term structural damage and protect the health of the residents.
Thanks to DDR's partnership, these important repairs will be completed by the end of August before a larger problem could develop. As a result of these repairs, four residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities will remain safe, stable, and secure in the home and community they know and love. |

Thank you, DDR, for investing in safe, stable housing and helping our adults with IDD continue to thrive for years to come. |
