A Foundational Need. A Moral Imperative.
Mission
How we started?
Our founders were raising family members with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) at a time when the diagnoses were not often even publicly spoken, when the people themselves were far from celebrated. Over 40 years later, the language and attitudes towards people with IDD has changed. But our mission has not. Today, as in 1973 – we stand for the enhancement of our entire community through inclusion and acceptance.
