A Foundational Need. A Moral Imperative.
Our founders were raising family members with intellectual/developmental disabilities(I/DD) at a time when the diagnoses were not often even publicly spoken, when the people themselves were far from celebrated.
Over 40 years later, the language and attitudes towards people with I/DD has changed. But our mission has not. Today, as in 1973 – we stand for the enhancement of our entire community through inclusion and acceptance.
